Meet Our Board
We are proud to have a dynamic board from diverse backgrounds who are drawn to support our mission. Our Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors work closely together to develop and implement strategic plans that help grow and support the agency, our individuals, and our mission.
Rodger Deevers
Board President
Rodger Deevers is a proud native Eugenian who, after serving in the US Air Force returned home to join his family’s investment advisory business and raise his family. Two of Rodgers' three sons are Autistic, which has filled his life with blessings and challenges. In 2011, Rodger was first introduced to Alvord Taylor when searching for a place for his son Joshua to call home. Rodger was so positively impacted that not only has Josh been a person served since that time, but when a position on the Board of Directors became available, he jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this amazing organization. When not talking about investments or retirement, Rodger enjoys writing, all that Oregon outdoors has to offer, and advocating for people suffering from depression.

What Our Board Members Have to Say
Board Testimonials
“It’s really hard to quantify what Alvord-Taylor means to me and the impact that this organization has had in my life, but words such as profound and significant come to mind. Before going any further, I feel I must disclose a conflict of interest, really more of an acknowledgment than a conflict, but I am on the Board of Directors of Alvord-Taylor and have been for some time. It all started with my son Joshua, who is severely impacted by autism. For many
years we were told that with the extent of his disability and his aggressive tendencies, Josh was one of the most severe cases in the county, if not the state. Our lives were spent moving from one drama to the next, with many sleepless nights wondering what would happen to our J-man if something happened to us. When Joshua turned 18 we knew we had to start the transition process, for his good and for ours. Through the County DD services we were given
the names of many agencies, but it is when we stepped through the doors at Alvord-Taylor that we felt as if we were at home, at least J-mans new home. Over the years that good decision has been confirmed over and over again, as the amazing, dedicated people of Alvord-Taylor have made it their mission to give our son the fullest life he could possibly live. I am honored to be able to recommend this agency, and even more honored to be able to serve on its board.”
